How to Make More Money on Squidoo

Making money on Squidoo is the big challenge for most people. You may have read about a lensmaster who pays their bills with their earnings or someone who has taken a vacation, paid for by Squidoo earnings. But when it comes down to it, you’re only bringing in a few dollars each month. How do you make more money on Squidoo?

The answer isn’t that simple. Keep in mind that it takes time for lenses to really start earning. I have lenses that took several years and a lot of tweaking before they finally started to see a decent income. Once you know how to make a selling lens, you can repeat it over and over, but it does take time to learn this and it takes time for lenses to rank. However, if you are already earning money, albeit a few pennies, you can increase that amount by using the following methods:

1. Make more lenses. The most obvious answer is to up your number of lenses. The more you make, the more traffic you get and the more money you make on Squidoo.

2. Make selling lenses. Not all lenses have to be selling, but if you want to make money on Squidoo, you should focus your efforts on actual sales lenses. These will focus on a product or type of product, rather than your vacation to Italy. While personal lenses do get traffic and may rank well, they tend not to sell as much. Make sure you choose selling keywords, too! These focus on specific products, rather than general info.

3. Join Amazon. I highly recommend joining Amazon if you aren’t already an affiliate. The main reason for this is that you can earn up to double what you make on Squidoo with your own affiliate links. Squidoo gives you 4% of all your sales. If you join Amazon, you start at 4%, but rapidly bump up to 6%. I no longer have any months where I don’t make at least 6.5% on my Amazon sales via my own links.

4. Add more products. While your lens should not be only products for sale, I find that adding text links is very useful in boosting sales. You should always have at least one link in your intro module and then scatter them throughout the lens.

5. Link photos with an affiliate link. All those boxes for linking your pics? Make those affiliate links. People like to click on pictures and it can give you a bit of a boost in sales.
